The story of one of the world’s greatest writers and the woman who made the man, this new play showcased imagination and emotion coming to life onstage. The lighting design helped to craft the trasformation of a bathtub to a sleigh, show the passage of time as fluidly as in the pages of a novel, and even bring the audience directly into Voltaire’s mind, surrounded by his swirling emotions and unexpressed words.
