Bringing an ancient Greek play from the amphitheater to a sort of post-apocalyptic playground purgatory proved to provide an enormous opportunity to lighting to define the space and punctuate the action. Lighting changes organically flowed with the movement of the performers creating pockets of light and shadow as if the whole world was bending the fit the story at hand. Throughout the whole piece, however, an air of creepiness and horror kept the tension high.
